How to Make Felt Rosettes

Oh how do I love felt. Not only is it made from recycled materials (think green), it comes in lots of beautiful colors, and is very forgiving to work with. I made a bunch of felt clippies for the store on Saturday, so today I have decided to share with you how easy and fun these are to make.

I was at Michael’s last week, and I got a stack of felt. There were so many fun colors, some had sparkles, and others had embossing.

I love the texture on these two. I had never seen embossed felt before. I love it!

The cool thing about this project is that you can pick any color combo that you want to match any outfit. Like this charcoal gray and hot pink. Cute huh.

So anyway, back to the tutorial. Cut your felt into a square.

Cut your squares into circles. Any shape of circle will do.

Cut your circles into spirals. You can cut them thick or thin, it will just change the shape of the flower.

Play with it and you will see which shapes you like.

Then all you need to do to make the flower is twist and glue. I like to start in the middle, because I like my flowers to be a little more flat.

Then make a few flowers, and add leaves and embellishments to finish it off.

Also, I like to add a small piece on the back to finish it.

Soon you will have a pile of beautiful clips in all different shapes and sizes.

Lots of pretty colors.

I think the mini flowers are my favorites.

This is a simple and easy way to make a  gift for all the little ones in your life.

One note, I decided to only used felt and fabric, and no little parts to make these ultra safe for babies.

Party Time!
